I was born in Xalapa, Mexico. I got my BS in Actuarial Science at UNAM. Later I obtained a masters degree in Statistics from CIMAT/Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico; I wrote my thesis under the direction of Dr. Andres Christen-Gracia. After working for two years as an statistical analyst at MD Anderson Cancer Center I decided to pursue a Doctorate. I was truly fortunate to work on my PhD under Sayan Mukherjee and Robert L. Wolpert at Duke University. Currently I am a postdoc at Harvard University with Prof. Edo Airoldi. It has been a great experience!
